India Energy Outlook 2021
9 febrero, 2021
India Energy Outlook 2021, a new special report from its World Energy Outlook series, on Tuesday, 9 February 2020, at 7:00 AM Paris time.
This new report explores the opportunities and challenges ahead for India as it seeks to ensure reliable, affordable and sustainable energy for a growing and increasingly urban population. Using the latest available energy data and incorporating the recent impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, the report examines different pathways out of the crisis and the longer-term impacts on India’s energy supply, demand and investment. It outlines a set of scenarios exploring how India’s energy sector might evolve between now and 2040. Following the publication of the report, we will host a press webinar at 10:00 AM Paris time with Dr Fatih Birol, the IEA Executive Director, together with Tim Gould, IEA’s Head of Division for Energy Supply Outlooks and Investment, to review the key findings and implications of the report. The webinar is open to journalists and will also be livestreamed. What are the impacts of India’s energy policy choices on energy access, air pollution and carbon emissions? Will economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic set India on a new path in its energy development? What different pathways exist for India’s energy future? How could the solar power and coal industries change in India over the next two decades? The report will address these questions and more. The report will be shared under embargo with reporters who sign up for the webinar. It is also available upon request at press@iea.org. Please note that the report and other materials are under embargo until 7:00 AM Paris time on Tuesday, 9 February. |
