Con más de 18 años de experiencia en el mercado chileno, Elecnor Chile ha desarrollado proyectos tanto en la generación como en la transmisión de energía. Puso en marcha la primera planta fotovoltaica para autoconsumo del país, en el edificio de la Intendencia de Antofagasta. Elecnor Chile pertenece al grupo español Elecnor, que se dedica a la ingeniería, construcción, operación, mantenimiento y desarrollo de proyectos de infraestructuras, energías renovables y nuevas tecnologías. La compañía es un actor relevante en el ámbito de la construcción de infraestructuras eléctricas y redes AT, así como ERNC. Entre los principales proyectos que desarrolla, destaca la ampliación de la subestación eléctrica Ancoa 500 kV y Charrua 500 kV para Celeo Redes; y la línea de 200 km y 500 kV, entre ambas subestaciones. Además, está culminando el contrato EPC del Parque Eólico San Juan de Chañaral para LAP, el más grande en construcción en Chile, que incluye todas las obras asociadas a excepción del suministro y montaje de los aerogeneradores, con una potencia de 185 MW, además de su sistema de evacuación, la SE (GIS) San Juan en 220 kV y las posiciones de llegada de la SE Punta Colorada 220 kV. Adicionalmente, acaba de firmarse un contrato para la construcción de un parque fotovoltaico de 98 MW, así como una nueva la línea de transmisión de 40 km en 220 kV, entre la SE Nueva Diego de Almagro 220 kV y la Ampliación de la SE Cumbres en 220/500 kV, que son también alcance del proyecto. Además del tradicional negocio de transmisión y generación, Elecnor es un importante actor en el mercado del alumbrado público en Chile. Elecnor también está presente en la minería, desarrollando dos contratos para Codelco.
