Ubicado en la comuna de Ovalle, Región de Coquimbo, el complejo está compuesto de 24 aerogeneradores, entregando un total de 48 MW de energía al Sistema Interconectado Central (SIC), equivalente a la energía necesaria para 74 mil hogares. Por otro lado, Eólica Monte Redondo, hoy Eléctrica Monte Redondo, está operando la Central Hidroeléctrica Laja (34 MW) ubicada en la Octava Región.
THE COMPANY:
Eolica Monte Redondo S.A. is a subsidiary of GDF SUEZ, and since 2010 commercially operates the Monte Redondo Wind Farm. Located in the Ovalle commune, Coquimbo Region. The complex is made of 24 wind turbines, supplying a total of 48 MW of power to the Central Interconnected System (SIC), equal to the energy necessary for 74 thousand homes. On the other hand, Eolica Monte Redondo, nowadays Electrica Monte Redonde, is operating the Central Hidroelectrica Laja (34 MW), a hydroelectric power station located in the Eighth Region.
