LA COMPAÑÍA:
Energía León S.A. nace como una nueva línea de negocios de Forestal León Ltda., que se gestó mediante la construcción de una planta de generación eléctrica a partir de biomasa forestal, la cual entró en operaciones con un nivel de diseño de 6,5 a 7,1 MWs/hora. La planta de energía eléctrica, ubicada en la Región del Bío Bío, tiene como objetivo el autoabastecimiento de la empresa forestal a través de la producción de vapor industrial para procesos de secado de madera y chapas en el aserradero. Asimismo, aporta energía eléctrica equivalente a 7,1 MW/hora al Sistema Interconectado Central (SIC), a través de una subestación elevadora y reguladora de voltaje, que se conecta con una línea de transmisión, la cual alimenta las comunas de Coelemu, Tomé y Quirihue.
THE COMPANY:
Energia Leon S.A. is born as a new business line of Forestal Leon Ltda. Created through the construction of an electrical generation plant from forestry biomass, which started its operations with a design level of 6.5 to 7.1 MWs/hour. The purpose of this electricity plant, located in the BioBio Region, is the company’s self-sufficiency through the production of industrial steam for wood and sheet drying processes at the sawmill. Likewise, it will supply electricity equal to 7.1 MW/hour to the Central Interconnected System (SIC), through a voltage lifting and regulating substation, which is connected to a transmission line that feeds the communes of Coelemu, Tome and Quirihue.
