GasAndes es una compañía de transporte de gas natural, que opera un ducto de 463 km., que se extiende entre la cuenca de Neuquén, en Argentina, y Santiago de Chile, con una capacidad para transportar 9 millones de m3 de este combustible. Inició sus operaciones en 1997, año en que comenzaron las importaciones de gas natural argentino a la zona central de Chile. El suministro llega a 8,5 millones de m3/día, con una capacidad cercana al 90%. Su destino es la comuna de San Bernardo, Región Metropolitana, desde donde a través de un City Gate se extiende por toda la zona central, incluyendo la Región del Libertador General Bernardo O’Higgins. GasAndes tiene como principales clientes a las compañías distribuidoras: Metrogas,Eléctrica Santiago S.A., Nehuenco y San Isidro.
THE COMPANY:
GasAndes is a natural gas transportation company that operates a 463 km natural gas pipeline that extends from the Neuquen basin, in Argentina, and Chile’s capital, Santiago, with the capacity to transport 9 million m3 of this fuel. It started its operations in 1997, when the imports of Argentinean natural gas to Chile’s central valley began. The supply reaches 8.5 million m3/day with a capacity of almost 90%. Its destination is the San Bernardo commune, in the Metropolitan Region, from where, through a City Gate, it extends through the entire central valley, including the Libertador General Bernardo O’Higgins Region. GasAndes’ main clients are the following distribution companies: Metr ogas, Electrica Santiago S.A., Nehuenco and San Isidro.
