GeneraciOn Solar S.p.A., subsidiary of the American company SunEdison, operates the “Parque Fotovoltaico Maria Elena” project, a photovoltaic farm located in the Antofagasta Region that directly injects its power to the Norte Grande Interconnected System (SING). The plant has a production capacity of 72.8 MW, equal to the annual consumption of almost 100,000 households. The company has a surface of 157 acres and 240,640 photovoltaic modules.
