Mainco S.p.A es parte del Grupo Agrisol y cuenta con un convenio con la Asociación de Canalistas del Canal Bío-Bío Sur, que la faculta para utilizar las aguas conducidas por el canal, para operar centrales hidráulicas de pasada, sin afectar los derechos de los asociados en relación al uso de agua para riego. Desde 2012, opera la Central Hidroeléctrica de pasada Renaico, ubicada en Mulchén, Región del BíoBío, con una capacidad instalada de 6,3 MW; y desde 2014, incorporó al Sistema la Central Alto Renaico, con una capacidad instalada de 1,5 MW. Además, la compañía cuenta con un proyecto de generación ubicado en el mismo canal Bío Bío Sur, por un total de 9 MW, correspondiente a la Central Hidroeléctrica de pasada Quilaco.
THE COMPANY:
Mainco S.p.A is part of the Agrisol Group and it has an agreement with the Asociacion de Canalistas del Canal Bio Bio Sur, who allow the company to use the water from the canal to build and operate a run-of-the-river hydroelectric power station, without affecting the rights of the shareholders regarding the use of the water for irrigation. Since 2012, it operates, the Renaico Run-of-the-river Hydroelectric Power Station, located in the Mulchen commune, Bio Bio Region, with 6.3 MW of installed capacity, and in 2014, it incorporated the Alto Renaico Power Station, with 1.5 MW of installed capacity, to the System. Additionally, the company has a generation project located in the same Bio Bio Sur canal, for a total of 9 MW, corresponding to the Quilaco Run-of-the-river Hydroelectric Power Station.
