TransAntartic Energía S.A.es propiedad del grupo español Jealsa. La filial está dedicada desde 2008
en Chile, al desarrollo y operación de proyectos de energía renovable, y a la generación y venta de energía limpia a clientes finales. Dentro de las tecnologías renovables se apostó por el desarrollo de proyectos eólicos y minihidros, contando con proyectos en desarrollo de ambos tipos y un parque eólico en operación desde 2014.
El primer proyecto construido por parte de TransAntartic Energía fue el Parque Eólico San Pedro de
Dalcahue, ubicado en la isla de Chiloé, Región de Los Lagos. Su primera fase está en operación desde julio de 2014, con 18 aerogeneradores de 2 MW de potencia cada uno, sumando en total 36 MW. La segunda fase se encuentra en plena construcción y entrará en operación a principios del 2017. Se instalarán 13 aerogeneradores de 5 MW cada uno, sumando 65 MW de potencia, a lo que ya está operando. Con esto, el Parque Eólico San Pedro contará en 2017 con 101 MW de potencia instalada y una generación de más de 300.000 MWh/año.
En cuanto a los proyectos minihidro, TransAntartic tiene una amplia cartera de proyectos en
diferentes estados de desarrollo a lo largo del país. Entre ellos tres se encuentran en su etapa
final de desarrollo: la minicentral de pasada Huenteleufú, de 7,5 MW,que generará aproximadamente 40 GWh/año de energía hidroeléctrica, captando agua del río Huenteleufú, en la comuna de Futrono,
Región de Los Ríos; la central de pasada Embalse Bullileo, de 8,14 MW y que se encuentra en el río
Bullileo, afluente del río Longaví, Región del Maule; y la Central de Pasada Lolén, con 1 MW de potencia instalada, que se ubica en la comuna de Lonquimay, Región de la Araucanía, dentro de una comunidad indígena.
THE COMPANY:
TransAntartic Energia S.A. is owned by the Spanish group Jealsa. Since 2008, the company has been dedicated to the development and operation of renewable energy projects in Chile, and to the generation and sale of clean energy to final clients. Within the field of renewable technologies, the company moved towards the development of wind and small hydro projects, with ongoing projects of both types and a wind farm operating since 2014.
The first project built by TransAntartic Energia was the San Pedro de Dalcahue Wind Farm, located
on the Chiloe Island, Los Lagos Region. Its first stage has been operating since July 2014, with 18
wind turbines of 2 MW of power each, adding a total of 36 MW. The second stage is under
construction and it will be operating in early 2017. It will have 12 wind turbines of 5 MW each,
adding 65 MW of power to the ones that are already operating. With this, the San Pedro Wind Farm will have, in 2017, 101 MW of installed power and a generation of more than 300,000 MWh/year.
Regarding the small hydro projects, TransAntartic has a wide projects portfolio in different states
of development across the country. Among them, there are three in their final development stage:
the 7.5 MW Huenteleufu run-of-the-river small power station, which will generate approximately 40
GWh/year of hydro power, receiving water from the Huenteleufu River, in the Futrono commune, Los Rios Region; the 8.14 MW Embalse Bullileo run-of-the-river power station, located in the Bullileo River, affluent of the Longavi River, Maule Region; and the 1 MW Lolen run-of-the-river power station, located in the Lonquimay commune, Araucania Region, within the indigenous community.
